Milestone School and College authorities have issued a statement regarding the number of casualties and the overall situation in the crash of a Bangladesh Air Force fighter jet in Diyabari, Uttara, the capital. In the statement issued on Thursday, the school authorities said that a small number of students were waiting for their parents as the school was closed at the time of the crash.

The statement said that the fighter jet crashed between approximately 1:12 pm and 1:14 pm. As the school was closed at 1 pm, a small number of students were waiting for their parents. The school authorities have given a list of missing and casualties in the incident. The list given in the statement shows that a total of 22 people were killed in the crash. Of these, 18 students, two teachers and two parents from the school branch were killed. 51 people were seriously injured. Among them, 40 students, 7 teachers, one parent, one nanny and one peon. The identity of the remaining one was not given in the statement. The school authorities also said that 5 people are missing in the incident. Among them, 3 students and 2 parents.

Milestone School and College formed an investigation committee on Tuesday. In continuation of this, Milestone School and College authorities have provided information on casualties and missing persons. The authorities said that work is underway to update the casualty information.

Milestone authorities said that advisors to the interim government, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education, BNCC, Rover Scout, Red Crescent, guardians and local residents are standing by. The Department of Health and the Bangladesh Air Force have made arrangements for better and proper treatment of the injured. In this regard, the Bangladesh Air Force has formed an emergency cell to coordinate medical and service activities.
